Biennial Speakers Announced: Rabbi Pesner and Rachel Mars

Everyone knows that Liberal Judaism's Biennial Weekend is jam-packed with thought-provoking educational sessions, but did you also know that the Biennial offers you a chance to sit back and be challenged and entertained by some of the best speakers and performers in the Jewish world?

This year, the Biennial committee is proud to announce that Rabbi Jonah Pesner, the senior vice president of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) will be coming to speak to us about life at the helm of our American sister movement, as well as his experience as founding director of Just Congregations, the community organising arm of URJ, which has successfully tackled a range of impressive social justice campaigns.

As if that wasn't enough, we will also have the effervescent presence of performer Rachel Mars who, in her own words, uses "the autobiographical as a starting point to create performances that are funny, intimate, rude and sometimes heart-breaking." You may have seen her sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Nowhere else in the world can you experience a weekend of life-changing hands-on seminars, develop an international perspective on Liberal Judaism, grapple with serious social justice issues and nearly fall off your chair with riotous laughter. Liberal Judaism's Biennial Weekend is it. To book your place now, please click here. Find out more by emailing Yael Shotts on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
