Volunteer for Liberal Judaism’s Twilight People project

13th April 2015

Liberal Judaism is looking for volunteers for the movement’s ground-breaking new oral history project – Twilight People: Stories of Gender and Faith Beyond the Binary.

We are aiming to build and train a team, who will then record and showcase the stories and experiences of transgender and gender variant people of faith in the UK. This project is the very first of its kind in this country.

Throughout the project – which runs until summer 2016 – we’ll be offering a great number of opportunities to get involved. We are looking for oral history interviewers, archive researchers, transcribers, sound/video editors, video/photographers, admin support, exhibition curators, youth forum members, media/social media volunteers and many other roles.

We can offer you free, professional training for these roles and will also cover your out of pocket expenses, such as travel.

The next training day will take place on Sunday April 19 at Liberal Judaism’s head office - The Montagu Centre London, W1T 4BE. Alternative dates may be possible.

The volunteering period is a minimum of six months, although the amount of hours you wish to volunteer are negotiable, from a minimum of five overall days commitment. There are only limited places available
