Liberal Judaism appoints first ever Director of Youth

Liberal Judaism is proud to announce the appointment of the movement’s first ever Director of Youth.

Becca Fetterman has taken up the newly created role, which sees her supporting Liberal Judaism’s youth movement LJY-Netzer in delivering inclusive, engaging activities with and for children and young people.

Becca has been involved with Progressive Judaism all her life, attending her first camp at the age of nine and then becoming a leader and movement worker.

She has been a professional youth worker since 2000 in a variety of jobs and settings – most recently managing the targeted youth work team for Buckinghamshire County Council, which supports individuals and runs programs for young people having difficulties in their lives.

Becca said: “I am really excited to have joined the team at Liberal Judaism and can’t wait to get going.

“Being involved in a youth movement had such a huge impact on my life, and the lives of my friends, and it is an honour to be able to support the incredible provision Liberal Judaism provides for its members.”

Liberal Judaism chief executive Rabbi Danny Rich added: “We are delighted that Becca will be bringing her professional experience and skills to Liberal Judaism.

“As our first ever Director of Youth, and working in partnership with LJY-Netzer, she will make a significant positive impact on the experiences of a generation of young Liberal Jews.”
