Get More Out of Liberal Judaism with Sunday Seminars

In response to overwhelming demand from communities across the country, and following the success of the first series, Liberal Judaism is running a second series of ‘Sunday Seminars’ to offer training and advice on issues relating to community leadership and development. This is your chance to get the most out of your community’s affiliation to one of the country’s largest synagogal movements.

Seminars are held from 11am – 4pm to make it as easy as is practical for those outside London to attend. We would welcome a £5 donation towards the cost of a light lunch. For more details and bookings please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The dates and titles are as follows:

June 29th 2014 - Tending The Flock
Helping and caring for each other is an important part of community - avoid this becoming a burden on a handful of people by creating and maintaining a structured care team within your Synagogue.

July 20th 2014 - Not Just For Choirs
Explore music written for choirs but great for any size of singing congregation. Familiar and completely new pieces - try them out and learn to use choral music to enrich your community.

September 7th 2014 - Finding The Flocks
We all want our communities to grow and we know there are unaffiliated Jews around who might love our Judaism, so how do we get the word out and the people in?

November 9th 2014- When We Talk About Israel
How do we discuss the difficult and emotive subject of Israel in our communities without losing our heads? Learn and discuss how to introduce meaningful and respectful dialogue on the Jewish State.

January 11th 2015 - People Not Programmes
Use the tools of ‘Community Organising’ to affect change in your community - strengthenthe relational power of the leadership, engage others in decision making and encourage action!
